Experience

1. Graduate Researcher

Authentic User Experience Lab, UC Santa Cruz , Sept 2023 – June 2025

  • Conducted interviews with key stakeholders, including the President of the California Emerging Technology Fund (CETF) and broadband advocates, to identify challenges in broadband data accuracy and community representation.

  • Invited by CETF to present initial findings at the Digital Equity Coalition (DEC) meeting, where insights were shared with community organizations and California state elected officials.

  • Facilitated co-design workshops with broadband advocates to explore solutions and define new map elements grounded in lived experiences.

  • Analyzed data using thematic coding; developed design recommendations for broadband mapping tools to support local advocacy efforts.

2. Teaching Assistant HCI Capstone Course

UC Santa Cruz - Spring 2024 & Spring 2025

  • Supported the first-semester research phase of the year-long graduate HCI capstone course, mentoring over 50 students across 14 teams partnered with industry organizations such as NVIDIA, Oracle, IBM, NASA Ames, Volvo Group, Microsoft, Keysight, and Google.

  • Guided student teams through UX research methods, including stakeholder interviews, competitive analysis, field studies, and early user testing.

  • Provided mentoring on project scoping, research planning, and documentation; monitored progress and advised on effective teamwork and collaboration.

  • Played a key role in maintaining healthy team dynamics and resolving interpersonal challenges

3. Multimedia Content Creator (Videography & Photography)
